The Beginning.
Born in Maidstone, UK where I lived for 3.5 years then moved to Ontario, Canada. This is where I grew up to live and love the outdoors and anything with water (except the frozen kind). I spent most of my summers away at summer camp in the Muskoka’s on and mostly in the Lake. At the age of 4 my parents placed my in swimming to help me burn some of my four year old energy. Quite quickly they realized how much I loved being in the water, and how competitive I truly was. Within a year or two I began to show great potential, I didn’t overly enjoy the early mornings or the really tough practices but I loved competing. This created an avenue for me to meet lots of people from around the province, travel the area and develop a strong goal oriented work ethic. By the time I was 15 I had made multiple regional and provincial teams, set club records (some of which still stand), and had more injuries than most people my age. I kept with this sport through highschool and onto University where I swam for Laurentian until I graduated in 2017. When I was in highschool I also decided to join a provincial volleyball team, and join numerous highschool teams in hopes of winning top female athlete (which I did). It was pretty obvious to myself and my parents that it would be hard to keep me to one sport, I’ve always needed a challenge, and have always needed to push the limits and keep at it until I could be the best that I could be.
